Beth is an experienced child, adolescent, and family therapist who works with youth who have experienced a variety of life challenges, changes, or emotional stressors. Beth is located in Philadelphia, PA and received her degree in clinical social work from The University of Pennsylvania. She currently holds a Pennsylvania license in clinical social work (LCSW) and is a nationally Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor (RPT-S). She is certified in Child & Family Play Therapy, The Nurtured Heart Approach, and Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is also trained in Parent Child Interaction Therapy and Sand Tray therapy.
Beth values the crucial role parents play in the therapy process. She works closely with parents to help them understand their child's unique experience and how they can best meet their child's individual needs.

PLAY THERAPY
Play Therapy is a modality of child therapy which uses expressive mediums such as toys, art, puppets, figurines, and other materials to help address cognitive, behavioral, and emotional challenges.

Adolescence can be a challenging time for teens and their parents! Having a therapist to talk to can help adolescents navigate challenging situations, emotions and behaviors, while also improving communication within the family unit.

Sand tray therapy is a creative counseling technique where a person expresses and processes a variety of internal issues through the use of miniatures of figurines.
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy is an empirically-supported family therapy for children between the ages of 2 to 7 who ehxibit acting out behaviors (e.g. tantrums, defiance, sassing, aggression).
Trauma therapy can come in many forms. Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an evidence supported treatment for children and adolescents who have experienced upsetting life events.
